I've been downloading my Dad's, Mom's, and Big Sister's CD collections recently <3 I've gotten sidetracked listening to Pandora. I've made myself channels (stations?) dedicated to (of course) POTF and this girl I just found, a Miss Lhasa de Sela. She's unfortunately passed away young, but her music is simply gorgeous. <3 (And she looks like my Aunt Robin, for some reason) And now Pandora gives me nothing but jazzy Spanish music because of her. :/ Weird.

Anyway, my parents and I have to go to my uncle's for his birthday party today. Joy. Aaaand I've gotta get in the shower. See ya~<3

And now for another random music/manga-related blurb! ... Hooray?

Have I mentioned yet how much I love Chapter 198? Because I do. I AM FREAKING IN LOVE WITH ITTTTTHOMGOSH 8D I've also found my new OTP in this MMV here, which is full of win. <3

Speaking of AMVs, I've started my first real contribution to the AMV-making world as a beta tester for the lovely Miss Bakura240 on YouTube. :) I consider it official now, as she's given me my first assignment already <3

But anyway.

Today I got in the mail the first of two CDs I ordered by the Poets of the Fall (remember them?). This one is "Signs of Life" which features "Lift" and "Late Goodbye", both wonderful songs, I must say. <3 Every track has the same wonderful melodies and haunting atmospheres of their singles on the album. "Lift" is probably still one of, if not my absolute favorite track from the album. I haven't listened to it enough to say much about the other songs.

I had my first day of school today. It sucked. D; Here's what it looks like:
Period 1: Art Experiences, Miss Thompson. I had her as a second homeroom teacher last year. She was nice. No air conditioning, though, and I'm stuck in a class where I feel like I'm probably going to be the only person who actually knows how to draw. Joy.
Period 2: CP Geometry, Mrs. Mingione. She seems nice enough. Strick, I guess, but nice enough. I miss Mr. Aldea (my Algebra teacher from last year) already :(
Period 3: Symphonic Band, Miss S. Had her for Symphonic Band last year in the same period, actually. None of my real friends are in this class, but I made quick friends with a nice Freshman named Lennea.
Period 4: Honors French III, M. Gilli. I'm always hearing good things about this guy, and indeed, he was really amicable. Thankfully I still remember enough French to understand what he was saying, which is always a good thing, and I of course have a lot of my class from last year. And he likes my hat-wearing! Score!
Period 5: US History I, Mr. Kivitt. I like this guy. I'm in the same room as last year,
Period 6: Literature about Society, Mrs. "X" Eckstut. This is the class I'm most worried about. And English is my favorite subject! My friend Joel is there, and the people I don't know seem to like me, but those who don't all hate me and think I have a crush on Joel! Dammit, by the end of the year I'm either transferring or working my ass off enough to move up to get to Honors so I'll at least be with Monica... but wait, no, she's a Freshman and Freshmen all take the same English course. NAUIOGHSERUIGSDHIGWEUSGHSDKG.
Period 7: CP Chemistry, Mrs. Pascale. She seems nice enough. I'm not friends with anyone in the class, and it seems like it'll be as rough as last year - nothing but stupid people and no work done. Lovely. At least the teacher seems a little more strict. That oughta teach 'em!
Period 8: Diver's Education/Physical Education, Mr. Albarella. I actually don't know anything about this guy, right now. We don't do anything in Gym the first couple of weeks until everyone gets settled in so that the Freshmen don't get too confused. (Trust me, if you're a Freshman, you're thankful for it, in this school)


Also, I consider it cruel and unusual punishment that the one friend that I've kept in touch with for the last two years while he was off in military school somehow managed to not only have no classes with me whatsoever, but he also has no lunches with me, either. ANISUOHWSGSDIGHSDUIDHGSDFYGIOSDHSDJNGSDIHGJISDGHHFGFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

I'll probably do that review of the first volume of Qwaser of Stigmata when I get back. Probably. *shrug*

I'm also working on a picture of Usagi and Terrance from my webcomic thing. Terrance is the main character, he's 13 years old and has an odd-colored eye. He's shy, and has a slightly warped sense of justice, what with being a pretty devout Protestant. His hair is reddish brown and spiky, but not so much you want to punch his face for having such ridiculous freaking hair. He wears a long T-shirt and baggy light-wash jeans with generic sneakers. I need to change his outfit eventually, but for now, he seems most comfortable like that.

Lesse, other characters? Well, I've got some info on Usagi up on my current ID on DA, so you can just look there *'cause I'm lazy and currently doing renevations on her character*

There's also Kiekko (People who know me from long ago may recognize the name from my old black kitsune <3), who is just 9 years old but looks 16 because of the horrible physical birth defects she was born with. :( She covers her face with a large plaid scarf and can't speak fluently very well, so she uses a form of telepathy to communicate. Because of this, her speech patterns are very static and she seems to have trouble showing emotion, especially considering how warped her face looks. Her hair is black with red highlights, with a matching wardrobe.

And then we've got Wiley, who is my current favorite. <3 He isn't an active fighter, he works at the forges as the apprentice of a man named Grant, who is like a father figure to him. A lot of nasty rumors surround him, and he says that he "denies the ones I don't like, and confirms the ones that sound good". The worst rumor is that he used to have a relationship with Usagi, and he usually laughs out loud at that, "

Hooo boy. I'm a big introvert, I hate losing, I hate being hurt, I get nervous really easily when it comes to speaking in public or doing something new/unexpected (anything where I'd be judged, basically), so I'm very paranoid as a result. I have this weird deathly fear of being like everyone else. I'm not sure what brought it on, but I'm desperately afraid of becoming a part of the popular crowd. *shrug* I don't know why. I'm also very self-righteous, so I try to make people like me, and thus tend to be as friendly as I can be. In turn, I also like to be polite to whoever I can by opening the doors for people and always saying my pleases and thank yous. I know that's a negative way to put it, but putting things negatively is usually the best way to get your point across on the Internet. Yeah... the Internet is weird. >__>;;

Well, it's blue, with mostly-clean hardwood floors.

FirstThere's a cluttered desk with a laptop on a stand, a detached keyboard, a tablet (which is used for the mouse :3), and detached speakers. The desk has various manga, comics, Darren Shan books, old pieces of fanart I've been meaning to scan, my noisemaker (<3), a calendar I now use only for holding magnets, various hats, Bakugan, an empty Hubba Bubba container, and my wooden hand-made Klonoa on it, amongst other things. There's a bookshelf with lots of CDs and more books in it and my crappy scanner/printer/thing on top. Several hard cover books are on top of the scanner in an attempt to up the quality of the scanner, but it doesn't really work, and is probably just hurting the poor thing. There's also a bulletin board with... stuff on it. I'm not even going to try to describe it all, it's just... *shiver* There are loads of posters and an awesome FMA manga calendar that I actually do use on that wall as well.

Next wall~ There are two doors - one to my bathroom that connects to the art room that my mom uses when she wants to paint, and the one leading to my closet that houses my insane manga collection of well over 700 pieces. I adore it. <3 Between the two doors is a big, ominous wardrobe with a TV that is only used for playing video games (namely my Gamecube which is used for Sonic Adventure 2 and my PS2 which is used for Klonoa and... well, Klonoa) in it. There's also a big exercise ball that needs more air in it and an empty laundry basket with lots of clothes and my favorite jackets on top of it.

Next wall! This one has a big 'ol window... that is constantly covered by curtains because I'm uber paranoid like that. Pooh. :( Anyway, there's also another bookshelf that houses various crap including, but not limited to, my masquerade mask for N'Orleans (<3), my awesome Angel of Death figurine (<33), my big-ass headphones (<333), and, last but certainly not least,my COPiC markerrsssss (<333333)~~~ There's also my dresser which is organized by drawer, a basket full of clean clothes that I need to put away, and REPO! The Genetic Opera poster FTWWWWW <3 <3 <3

And last but not least, the bed wall! 8D It has my awesome four-poster bed that is home to my awesome Hello Kitty teddy bear/pillow, Pillow, who never leaves my side. <3 There are bedstands with lamps to either side of the bed, but only one of the lamps works. The other has been left unfixed for several months. :( The bedstand of the working lamp has my sketchpad and Hello Kitty radio on top of it. <3 My bed also shelters my hats. <3 And, of course, my door to the outside world, which is gracefully graffitied with lined yellow Post-It notes originally stuck on by Zoe. Hers read "ALLEN!!! ZOE LOVES ELLY!!" There are a bunch in the shape of a smiley face that my parents' friends' adorable adopted kids put up, and a giant, obvious W that keeps falling off GODFREAKINGAUIHTEAISUOTHSD. There is also a Christmas stocking that I don't use on the handle of my door and a Christmas ornament attached to the outside of the door that jingles whenever I open it. <3333

For those following my fic, the Gibsellent Diaries, I'm very sorry for the hold-up with the first chapter. I've been busy with working out the kinks in the story, Japanese homework, and procrastination. I'm unable to do anything on my Tuesdays and Thursdays due to my Japanese lessons, so it's hard for me to work on it. Needless to say, I'll be getting it up as soon as I possibly can, either later tomorrow, or the next day, or as soon as I can find time after that.

In other GD-related news, I'm thinking of having it split up into different "Books" and "Acts" within the Books. This is mostly to avoid confusion on FF.net and to better organize the story. Any thoughts?

Anyway. If you'll excuse me I have to make it look like I've done some meager measure of my Japanese homework so that my mother isn't suspicious tomorrow morning. D;

DM Doodle Sketchdump Pt. 1

Mood: Tired, neck sore. Feeling like doing something.

Here, have some doodles for your time.

Some Duel Masters-related doodles that I've done in the last couple of months. The ones on lined paper are from school, and the three that aren't were done at home and are newer to boot. You can tell, since they look nicer and are inked and shit stuff. ;D *needs to stop cursing*

Anyway. First up is poor Xanadu-sama. She came all the way from my folded-up doodles to this page, had her text cut off, and doesn't even have the voice to yell at me about it. Anyway. The Japanese in the word bubble originally said, "ホワイトさま, なんですか?" ("White-sama, what is it?" It makes little sense because he's neither a "White" or a "-sama" to her with her mask down like this, as in SX) Why? I don't know...

... Wait, no, I guess I know why. He was there, I suppose. What does he have to say? "オレはホワイトだぜ!!" ("I told you, I'm White!!" Which he says a lot in the anime) Very intelligent... Who's next?

Who else is there? Why, it's Shobu and Mimi! With... cards? (I think there's a fullview feature, but it's a pretty big file, so I don't know if I'd recommend it) Anyway. What does anyone else have to say?

Why, it's poor, depressed-looking Rekuta-kun! Why is he depressed? Well, he's lovesick, of course. Poor thing. He's short, can't play cardgames, and wears glasses to boot. (I'm two of those things as well, so don't worry, Rekuta-kun~) I wonder who he's got a crush on...

Mimi-kun?!? D8 Well, now I can see why he's upset! She's been sleeping with everyone in town, including freaking Shobu for crying out loud, who'd wanna date him? (Just kidding, Shou-chan's plenty attractive XD)

Oh, no, Mimi, I didn't mean to call you a whore anything bad, I just think that-- *Punch'd into a wall* "That'll teach you to talk about me!!" (Really, I just think Mimi would be the type to not keep a guy for too long, but certainly not to be promiscuous, oh no~)

... Ugh... Where am I? Oh, right, making stupid comments about completely-unrelated bunch of doodles. Who's next? ... 白凰さま~~! *COUGH* Yes. Right. The really badly written characters about the doodle read "白ちゃん *heart*" ("Haku-chan", which is what Dr. Root calls him). He's here to talk some sense into Mimi-kun! "Mimi-kun, Considering you've slept with everybody else in town, what's the deal with sleeping with Rekuta-kun?" "... What?" Mimi woke up the next day to find Hakuoh has drugged her with roofies and made her sleep with Rekuta. I guess he had a grudge against her for some reason... wait. Maybe it was for sleeping with Shobu!! D8

*COUGH* Anyway, who else is here? Ah, yes, Miss Alice Gehabich. (On the right, with Hakuoh on the left. Same goes for the picture on the bottom) How are you M'Lady Alice? "AGHHHH!!" ... Um. Okay. That's nice. How about you, Haku-chan? "NOOOOO!" ... What are you two screaming about? "MIMI! SHE WANTS TO KILL US!" Oh... That's a good reason to run. *Runs like mad* (Alice is from Bakugan Battle Brawlers, but she and Hakuoh are friendly towards each other in my fic. This doodle is a bit out-of-character, since they don't like each other that much, but oh well. It was fun to draw, at least! :D)

*pant* Whew... hopefully I got away from her. Well, then, that's about it for this series of doodles today--

Starting fresh.

Well, that's it. I'm starting anew. This blog wasn't meant for much before, but either way, I've deleted all the other posts and decided to start afresh with a new perspective.

This blog will now be used for the following:

• Serious things and discussions about things I want honest opinions from others about. I hate politics, so these will be kept to more (or perhaps less?) abstract concepts. These will probably end up being more of writing exercises for me, and even then I try to make them somewhat interesting.
• Poetic ramblings; not necessarily poems (because I'm horrible at poems), but poetic prose. In other words, short clips of prose with lots and lots of pretty words in between.
• The occasional review. I'd rather do these in video format, but I'm not quite experienced with that medium yet, so I'll have to suffice with text for now.
• Ramblings, updates, or even chapters regarding my fanfiction works (I write only fanfiction that is meant to be read as a source of entertainment, not pity, as I see a lot of works being written for these days...) and other original writing/comic projects I might be working on.
• Art. Be it fanart, a request/collab/etc., or something original, I might just post some art I want to show off to you people. Assuming, of course, that actual people end up reading this thing, which I'm not quite sure about yet..

And, of course, there's the occasional random post that seems to be about absolutely nothing but then ends up being some form of writing practice... i.e., what I'm writing right now. ^^ I'm practicing sounding all formal and crap.

Really, am I little miss formal all the time? Not always, but it's always good to crack your knuckles every once in a while and flex them writing skillz (avec une zed). Speaking of which... *crick, crack* ... Much better~ :3 (I'll make an attempt to put my smiley-using habits to a minimum in my senseless ramblings here, although I'm not sure how long that'll last every time...)

Anyway. This post is terribly boring, but I suppose it's informing in some way, no? Now. Since that's all done and over with and whatnot, allow me to further introduce myself.

On deviantART, I am kittypopchow601 (formerly ruinedshadows and hanathemongoose, but the accounts "merged". Really, I was sick of playing two personas and wanted to slowly ease out of the fake one, although the transition of course wasn't anywhere near as smooth as I wanted it to be... anyway, I have little connection left to those two previous accounts now, so there's little need to worry about them.)

On YouTube, I am ruinedshadows (there aren't too many videos on there, and really none of them are worth checking out... except for maybe that one Fullmetal Alchemist MMV that plays automatically, and perhaps a quite glance through my menacingly huge favorites, just to see what I'm up to lately. To put it in perspective for anyone not reading this post at some time close to my posting it, I was starting to get into .hack//SIGN at the time, so I favorited the opening and the first episode just as a log of sorts. From there, you can probably judge roughly how many videos I fave over a given amount of time. Yep... I'm pretty much a fave-o-holic. ^^; Sorry...)

On fanfiction.net, I am ruinedshadows (I don't update it too often... at ALL. The last thing I posted on there was a silly little FMA yaoi fanfic about Kimbley and Greed!Ling. OTL. Safe to say my writing has greatly changed since then. Not that I don't like yaoi, I just don't write romance because I honestly find it to be completely pointless. >>)

Damn do I miss livejournal. Now I can't bug you with my insane taste in music. :,( Right now I'm listening to my awesome Kerli music that you don't know about because you're just so damned culturally OBLIVIOUS. No really, Kerli is awesome and all, but if you don't like her, you don't have to, I won't force you nice people~
